In three generations, Aussie breeders can achieve this. Given that several studmasters conducted a shortlived experiment, (the mandatory three years required to see if a stallion has any promise at all) perhaps four decades back. The importation of several European stallions including "GEKOJ", proved a failure. A lot of water has gone under the "trotting" bridge since then and today's mares often have pedigrees, that go back 5 or 6 generations of pure American trot. Putting French blood into the gene pool will soon be seen to be the best thing since sliced bread. Please tell me if I am right or wrong! Denis.
